Mercedes-Benz had officially launched the S-Class in India at a price of Rs. 2.17 crore (ex-showroom). With the luxury vehicle now being assembled in the Country, the price is expected to drop dramatically.

Mercedes-Benz will unveil the domestically-built S-Class luxury vehicle in India, On October 7. Due to local assembly, the German car giant's flagship product is expected to be substantially less expensive than present versions.



Mercedes-Benz had officially unveiled the S-Class in India at a price of Rs. 2.17 crore (ex-showroom). The CBU route was used to bring the Mercedes S-Class launch edition to India. Soon after the formal introduction, all 150 units were sold out.


The Mercedes S-Class ultra-luxury sedans compete with competitors such as the BMW 7-Series and Audi A8 in its category.

The Made-in-India Mercedes S-Class specifications are yet to be revealed. The corporation is expected to disclose them on October 7, but there aren't expected to be significant changes. What will change, though, is the price, which is projected to drop significantly as a result of local manufacture.



The Mercedes S-Class 2021 is currently available in two variants: the S 400d and the 450 4MATIC. It runs on six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The engine has a power range of 330 to 367 horsepower. The maximum torque is between 500 and 700 Nm. Both have a top speed of 250 kilometers per hour and can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just over five seconds.


It has sporty AMG Line exteriors and interiors, as well as 20-inch alloy wheels, which are a first for the S-Class in India. Despite its impressive performance numbers, the S-Class is more about the driving experience from the back seat than from behind the wheel. The main infotainment system in the 2021 S-Class sedan will be a 12.8-inch OLED display. It has a 12.3-inch 3D driver display and is in portrait orientation. The dual-screen provides a more expansive visual experience.

The MBUX has an inbuilt storage capacity of 320 GB and 16 GB of RAM. This means that the car's owner can save many movies in the infotainment system and watch them while driving. Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates are also available for MBUX.
