While Declaring the Cancelation of Product Dan Riccio, Apple`s Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering in a emailed statement in March 2019 said"After much efforts, we have concluded that AirPower will not achieve to our standards and we have cancelled the project. We apologize to all customers who were looking for the launch." But he also marked that Future is Wireless and company is fully committed to push the wireless experience forward.
Interesting Fact : At Time It was become a habit of Apple to announce the envelope tickling products and not shipping them actually on time, same done with AirPods, also had a bit of Delay before widely available.
3) Will AirPower Launch in Future?
Ans: YES, It might be Launched in Future.
As per the reports Apple started working again on the Air Power.
According to Jon Prossor, Engineers started work on a software communication between various devices for an upcoming product that could be powered by Apple A11 Processor. Other than this he also Tweet about iPhone 12 going Portless, which also predicts the launching of Air Power Soon.
Earlier, AirPower was cancelled because it is getting heated up with rise in temperature but the new Prototype of AirPower can also dynamically alter the flow pf power depending on the temperature level.As soon as the temperature lower down, the power flow is resumed by Portotype, as per the Prossor Reports.
This C68 Prototype does not have any commercial name Yet but most likely it will take up the previous name " Air Power"
