Today, Audi India released a teaser to reveal that the RS e-Tron GT is coming to India.

Although Audi has started booking for the e-Tron GT for one lakh, it is unclear whether the same price can be used to secure the RS variant of the EV.

The Audi e-Tron GT, which was unveiled globally earlier this year, is expected to cost between Rs 1.5 million and Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom). Expect the e-Tron GT RS to command a slightly higher price.

Audi debuted the e-tron and e-tron Sportback in India earlier this year. Audi will have all four electric cars from the e-Tron family in India with the launch of the e-Tron GT variants.

The Audi e-Tron GT is powered by an 85-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack. The automobile has a 475 horsepower electric engine that produces 630 Nm of peak torque. Even though the battery pack is the same size, the RS version of the e-Tron GT is somewhat more powerful. The RS e-Tron GT has a maximum output of 598 horsepower and a peak torque of 830 Nm.

The e-Tron GT will outperform the ordinary e-Tron and e-Tron Sportback variants in terms of performance. The GT variant, according to Audi, can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just over four seconds and reach a top speed of 245 kilometers per hour. The RS version of the electric car, on the other hand, will be the fastest in the family, capable of sprinting from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.3 seconds and reaching a top speed of 250 kilometers per hour.

In terms of range, the base e-Tron GT model can go 488 kilometers before needing to be recharged. The RS e-Tron GT, on the other hand, offers a somewhat shorter range of roughly 472 kilometers on a single charge.

A 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and shift-by-wire gear technology will be standard on the Audi e-Tron GT versions. The Audi e-Tron GT will be positioned above other luxury electric vehicles on the market, such as the Mercedes EQC and Jaguar I-Pace.
